President’s Newsletter - November 6, 2011

Dear Delta Gamma At-Large Members,

It was wonderful to see nearly 100 participants at our Delta Gamma At-Large Chapter Chartering on October 26, 2011 at the Wisconsin Club. New and current Delta Gamma members, including Marquette and Alverno nursing faculty and community leaders gathered to celebrate this historic event and commemorate Delta Gamma’s rich 32-year history.

It was very special to have Karin Morin, President of STTI preside over the event as one of her last official duties before she became the Past President of STTI several days later at the 41st Biennial Convention in Grapevine, Texas.

We were also pleased that Sarah Morgan, Region 4 Coordinator was able to participate at this historic event as well.

The program began with Karen Morin reviewing the rich history, mission, vision and values of STTI. She then performed the Charter Amendment, adding Alverno College to the Delta Gamma Chapter. Representing Alverno College for this segment included me, Carol Sable, Dean Pat Schroeder and Patti Varga as seen here with the new At-Large Charter and Coat-of-Arms.

Margaret Callahan, Dean of Marquette College of Nursing then offered congratulatory remarks.

Pat Schroeder, Dean of Alverno College School of Nursing also delivered her congratulatory message.
