The Votes are In!
The Delta Gamma Executive Board and Committee election has recruited
a group of dedicated members to serve as the 2010-12 board.
The following positions have been filled by an election of the
membership and assumed office July 1, 2010.
Barb Haag-Heitman was re-elected
to the President position to serve an additional two years. She
has been instrumental in achieving closer bonds with the Marquette
University academic community and promoting Delta Gamma’s
mission and vision for community outreach and member engagement.
Juanita (Terri) Garcia is the newly
elected Secretary. As Coordinator of Project Beyond at Marquette
University, she brings a wealth of experience in mentoring and
culture to the board.
Diane Dressler assumes the role
of Faculty Counselor and Chair of Governance Committee where her
experience as a Clinical Assistant Professor at Marquette University
for the last 12 years will make her leadership in Eligibility and
Membership useful.
Mary Ann Mosley, Coordinator for
the Learning Resource Center at Cardinal Stritch University, and Kathy
Lendosky, Clinical Educator at Aurora Summit Medical Center
will fill the two open positions on the Leadership Succession Committee.
Continuing Board members include:
Maureen O’Reilly, Neonatal
Nurse Practitioner with Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare as Vice
President and Chair of Program Committee
Maureen Greene, Intensivist Clinical
Nurse Specialist/NP in Critical Care and Nurse Research Coordinator
for Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare–St. Joseph who is on
the Leadership Succession Committee
Mary Darling, Treasurer for the
Chapter
Richard Fehring, Professor at Marquette
University will continue as Chair of the Research Committee while Mary
Polchert, Associate Professor at Marian University in
Fond du Lac continues as Webmaster and Communications Editor.
The Delta Gamma Board would like to extend sincere
thanks to the members who have completed their terms of service:
Kristi Lambrecht who resigned
her position as President-elect earlier in the year
Diane Hankes for her unending
service as Secretary and for lending an historical understanding
to the board
Kathy Bobay for her service as
Faculty Counselor for two terms
Lynn Carey is thanked by the Board
for her service to the Leadership Succession Committee
Special thanks are extended for the continuing support
of the Margaret Callahan, Dean of the
College of Nursing, Marquette University and Irene
Cvetich who provides chapter secretarial support
from the College of Nursing.
Members are encouraged to contact any board member
if they are interested in becoming a member of any committee or
would like to be considered for future open board/committee positions.
Appointees are frequently sought for support positions to the board
and service to the Delta Gamma chapter. |
